Energy & Regulatory
Energy and Regulatory Law is one of the Chambers’ particular areas of strength. We have experience advising and representing gas transmission and distribution companies, public-sector organisations, regulatory bodies, and private-sector entities on a wide range of regulatory and commercial matters.
Our work in this area includes regulatory compliance, commercial and gas supply agreements, contractual disputes, regulatory proceedings, administrative and constitutional challenges, writ matters, and representation before relevant authorities, including the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC).
Corporate & Advisory Services
Our Corporate and Advisory practice supports businesses throughout their legal and commercial lifecycle. We advise on company law, corporate governance, business structuring, commercial contracts, employment matters, regulatory compliance, legal opinions, Tax and VAT matters, and commercial dispute management.

Litigation & Alternative Dispute Resolution
We represent clients in civil, commercial, constitutional, administrative, employment, service, labour, and regulatory disputes, as well as in arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Our lawyers regularly appear before the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, subordinate courts, tribunals, regulatory authorities, and other judicial and quasi-judicial forums.
From early assessment and strategy through hearings and final resolution, we place particular emphasis on careful preparation, clear legal analysis, and effective advocacy.
Our Team
The Chamber is led by Abul Nashar Azad, Barrister-at-Law (Lincoln’s Inn) and Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He has been practising since 2010 and has developed particular expertise in energy and regulatory law, corporate and commercial matters, employment and service law, labour law, and constitutional litigation.
The team includes Zadid Al Nahian, Barrister-at-Law (Lincoln’s Inn) and Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, Uzma Islam, Advocate, Dhaka Bar Association and Md. Delwar Hossain. The Chamber is also supported by experienced clerical and administrative personnel. Depending on the nature and requirements of a matter, the Chambers also works with associated advocates, chartered accountants, tax practitioners, and other professionals to provide appropriate specialist support.
